Post Garage Sale
Neighborhood yard sales are increasingly popular. They draw large crowds and both buyers and sellers benefit from the effort. It takes only a bit more effort to organize a sale for your entire neighborhood than it would just to hold your own sale. And if you can find a few neighbors to share the work, it’s even easier!
Check with Your Neighborhood Association First
If your neighborhood has an association, or a written set of covenants, be sure having a neighborhood-wide yard sale complies with the guidelines of the association.
Choosing a Yard Sale Date
If you live in a large housing development, and you plan to make this an annual event, consider a date that can be counted on by both buyers and sellers from year to year. For example, the first Saturday in May, last Saturday in September, etc. Choose a date when the weather is most likely to be co-operative in your area.
