As of Oct. 29, 2011, two days before the Justin Bieber Christmas album, 'Under the Mistletoe' is released, advance sales of the record, according to The Hollywood Reporter (THR) and other sites, have already hit close to 170,000 copies. The album's release date is the first of November.

Another publication, Billboard Magazine, is featuring Bieber on the cover of their November issue and that story says the young superstar's manager, Scooter Braun, is looking for it to reach platinum status, which in the U.S. means 1,000,000 sales. "I feel it will," Braun told Billboard in the story.

That's a massive number, especially for a holiday-specific record, but Bieber has had massive success in his career, outlandish numbers such as $73 million at the box office for his 3D biopic film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. So why not a million sales of his Christmas album?
